Presentation of the service

Marinéo bike is a long term rental service for electric bikes. It is possible to rent an electric bike for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.

Discover a new way of getting around with Marinéo bike … to go to work, to the campus, to do your shopping or just for a ride.

With the electric assistance, the hills and slopes of the Boulogne area won’t be an obstacle!

A security kit can be purchased, it includes:

  • bike lock (€25)
  • helmet (€13)
  • vest (€5)

You can either buy the whole kit or separate items according to your needs.

How does it work?

Any one over the age of 16 residing in one of the 22 municipalities of the Boulogne urban area can rent an electric bike. To do so, the following documents are required:

  • Proof of identity
  • Recent proof of address (under 3 months)
  • Guarantee by cheque (€900 not cashed) *Insurance is the responsibility of the renter
  • A Pass Pass card with a valid annual subscription (ELIT Pass / ELIT Student / Liberty Pass / Mobility Pass) to get preferential subscription rates.

After finalising my subscription at the Marinéo boutique I can pick up my bike at Cycléo, where I’m shown the ropes: how the bike works and advice on using it…

An inventory is done with the renter on reception of the bike.

Opening times:

  • Between 1/04 and 31/10: from 10 am to 6.30 pm everyday
  • Between 1/11 and 31/03: from 9.30 am to 6 pm Wednesdays and week-ends (outside these hours, by appointment via 03 91 18 34 48).

For 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, you’ll be able to get around easily and in total freedom with Marinéo bike. Discover a new way of getting around… to go to work, to the campus, to do your shopping or just for a ride.

A FREE preventive maintenance is to be done every 3 months. Cycléo contacts the renter to make an appointment for a revision of the bike.

At the end of my lease, 2 options:

  • Return of the bike
  • Renewal of the contract: the lease can be renewed once for a maximum period of 12 months.

At the end of the contract, the client must return the bike by making an appointment with Cycléo.

An inventory is jointly drawn up between Cycléo and the client when the bike is returned. It points out elements of normal wear and tear, which are the responsibility of Marinéo, and abnormal wear and tear, which are the responsibility of the client. If this is the case, a bill is issued according to a fixed-rate scale applicable on the date the bike is returned. The bill is issued within 15 days after the return of the bike. Marinéo informs the client that the operation is completed, that the contract can be closed and the guarantee refunded in a Marinéo boutique.

The boutique is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Tips – Did you know?

  • For Marinéo annual pass holders, a 10% reduction is offered on rental price
  • For occasional Marinéo clients, 10-trip Pass is offered to test the Marinéo network
  • For salaried employees, 50% of the bike rental can be refunded by the employer
